Performs phlebotomy techniques on adults, newborns, and pediatric patients using vacutainer needles, and butterfly needles with adapters. Handle appropriately prior to transporting to lab. Use hospital informatics system in support of phlebotomy related functions. Responsible for following infection control procedures. Attend in-service and staff meetings as required. Follow established hospital and departmental policies procedures.

Removed bandage, dressings, removed sutures and prepared patients for examinations. Took vitals, blood draws EKG, assisted providers as needed, ordered medications and follow up with labs. Performed rapid in house testing and kept rooms cleaned and stocked with supplies.
