Assisted physicians with basic patient care and medical procedures within the scope of practice as a Medical Assistant. Included but not limited to rapid tests, EKG’s, procedure setups, triage, drawing blood, translating from Spanish to English and also assisting within the front desk.. Obtained and recorded patient’s basic information and insurance along with verifying insurances as a part of the front desk work. Obtained patients medical histories, vitals, test results and medications when triaging. Prepared treatment rooms for all different types of visits in regards to setting up for blood draws, preparing for drug testing and or cleaning up. Always showed a positive and professional demeanor with a positive can do attitude.

Welcomed and checked patients in. Assisted patients with registration requirement processes. Identified and verified insurance. Updated any other information regarding personal information and pharmacies. Scanned any document(s) necessary for the patient's chart. Booked rooms and attended patients to their exam rooms. Once the patient was triaged, questions were asked from reason of visit to simple medical background. (Patient’s vitals consisted of blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen levels, and temperature.) Assisted physicians with testing COVID-19 related, Flu, Strep, and pregnancy. Performed EKG’s and drew blood when needed. Monitored and reported inventory for expired medications, their temperatures and humidity within the room. Traveled around New York wherever help was needed and necessary in regards to other Go Health locations.
